Lensmodern Exposed

After 3 years of being almost entirely internet-based, Lensmodern is finally emerging from beneath the sheets with a two-day photographic print extravaganza, which will take place during the first weekend of December. Both print collectors and members of the public alike are invited to view the work of some of the world's top photographers in the flesh, whilst having the opportunity to purchase prints (both framed and unframed), limited editions and postcards, at a range of prices to suit every pocket - just in time for Christmas!
Since its launch in January 2006, Lensmodern has established a reputation for offering outstanding fine art photographic prints, as well as a photo-library that represents only the best, most creative images. Now, for the first time, twenty-six of our award-winning photographers will be exhibiting their work and selling prints on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December from 12-6pm at Lensmodern's headquarters: The Dairy Studio, 43 Bellenden Road, Peckham, London SE15 5BB.
As well as offering the opportunity to browse and purchase photographic prints in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, the weekend will feature live entertainment for the whole family, including flamenco dancing and clowns; and anyone purchasing a print will have the opportunity to have their portrait taken by a leading Lensmodern photographer, to either take home as a file on disk, or purchase as a framed print on the day - a perfect Christmas present for that special someone.
The weekend will also be host to several lively discussion groups, chaired by well-known photographer and film director Barney Edwards - a must for any professional or keen amateur interested in discussing the future of digital stills photography and its cross-over with the world of moving imagery, as well as the future of traditional silver-based photographic methods.
The exhibitors will include: Adrian Ensor, Alan McFetridge, Andreas Heumann, Ashton Keiditsch, Barney Edwards, Barry Cawston, Bob Miller, Calum McIntosh, Chris Simpson, Claudia Schmid, Graham Fink, Ken Griffiths, Lewis More O'Farrell, Louis Quail, Mark King, Martin Brent, Max Forsythe, Paul Briginshaw, Peter Knab, Peter Webb, Richard Waite, Rob Matheson, Robert Dowling, Rolph Gobits, Stuart Hall and Stuart Hamilton.
With food and drink available throughout the weekend, this event promises to offer a welcome and entertaining alternative to the usual mundane Christmas shop.
